Hi everyone,

As this is a new product we like to make spectralive more accessible to a wider audience. After talking to our developers we have reduced the price to only $24.95 USD. Please note that this is only for a limited time until the 12th of May.

Cheer!

Yeah - no disrespect intended, but there are a lot of unscrupulous characters about & after what I read in the other thread about synthedit modules (& no advertising of that on your site) + the 'pure assembly' claims coupled with the fact that you are making an absolutely huge price drop, well a cynic could start thinking that someone was trying to make a fast buck, got rumbled by some extremely clued up people & decided to go for desperate measures? I am not saying that is the case here, but ignoring what was questioned in the earlier thread sure doesn't create an air of confidence y'know? If this is indeed synthedit made (with possibly custom modules etc.) why not just clarify that fact & maybe your new price will be thought of as commensurate with the product itself? Though if that's the case many may question the initial price u asked?

After talking to his synthedit developers... ;)

I hear "price reducing". Hm, he told me it was a fault by the webmaster on his site ..

Well, I downloaded the demo and instantiated it in eXT. It didn't create the typical SynthEdit subfolder, so I doubt very seriously this is a SE creation.

However, the DLL file is quite large, so it does look as if it was made in a high-level tool like SynthMaker or something, but it's definitely not SE. Who knows, it could indeed be hand-tooled assembly, but with a really really big skin bitmap embedded in it. I dunno.

Open it with a hex editor. Read through the strings.

All things considered, $25 for a SE plugin isn't that shocking anymore. And if people like it, I'm sure it'll be worth it to them.

My only issue with this is the snake oil marketing: obfuscation of function through meaningless marketing fancy words; the appearance of mysterious new forum members singing its praises.

Tell us what it is, and what we can expect it to do to our audio. All this mumbo jumbo speak just makes it look like they're trying to lure in suckers. Maybe suckers ought to be lured in, I don't know, but someone has to look out for the feebleminded.

Interesting - but it didn't do the usual SynthEdit subfolder containing mysterious .SEx files. But you're right of course, it's got the URL embedded in the DLL:

Learn something new every day, I guess. :hihi:
