I have a Sony MDR-V150 and Sony MDR-V300, I like them both. Neither one seems to cause fatigue.

no, just that my sennheiser hd525 or the akg240 at work do not have a much better sound. not really enough to justify the price-difference. i use those philips while commuting, but i really do not know if i'd rather get a second pair of them or replace the cable on the sennheiser, which would probably cost more. really, just listen to them.Voidoid Surrealist wrote: You're saying that your 9euro HP200's sound better than a pair of Sennheiser HD 515's or Alessandro MS-1's???

I have a pair of Pro.2 PH-B541 that are pretty clear and flat. There's a fair bit of detail at the lower end that makes them stand out from cheap Sonys.

Thanks for all your help.. I ended up buying some Sony MDR-V150's for $20. Good deal considering they even put my other larger Sony's to shame. These will do for now, as I need more than one pair total to do some recording right now, but also, now I know it's not just hype. Assuming the "you get what you pay for" is at least a little true, I'm set on buying some better ones in the future.
