Squids,
I'm thinking about the crossgrade offer. I'm curious about how long the offer will be good for. I seem to remember hearing that it was limited time, but no mention is made of that on the esoundz page. I also seem to remember it being $199 but it was $219 on the esoundz page. Was the $199 price a limited time offer that has already expired or is my memory just bad?
thanks,
matthew

Yes, that was a limited time offer that is up now. But, the regular price now is $249 which is still a great deal. If it is $219 on esoundz.com then you are still getting a good break. But, that too is not guaranteed to last forever either so my advice to all SS1 owners who haven't upgraded to SS2: DO IT NOW! This is a special upgrade you can only do through esoundz and we may stop offering at all after a certain period of time! You might as well save some $$$$ and get thousands of new sounds and a sharp interface. SS2 and SS1 is night and day.rockin1 wrote:Squids,

Thanks for the update Squids. I'm still considering whether to upgrade or not. You said the regular price for SS2 is $249 but I don't see that price anywhere. Even the esoundz member price is $287 and it's $319 everywhere else. Is it really going to be $249 regular price?

I think he meant $249 was the regular cross-grade price.rockin1 wrote:Thanks for the update Squids. I'm still considering whether to upgrade or not. Hardly. In temperate latitudes, night and day are about the same length. But SS2 is what -- four times the size of SS1, maybe five times? That's much more night than day.Squids wrote:SS2 and SS1 is night and day.
For SS2 to be night and SS1 to be day, you'd have to visit near-Arctic areas during the winter. Sled dogs. Vodka by firelight. Steamy sauna, icy stream, birch twigs. Aurora borealis.
... or Antarctica, and aurora australis. But there are fewer saunas there, so I thought you'd prefer the far north.
The lesson is the same, though: upgrade to SS2 now, while the caribou are migrating and the glaciers are still glaciating.
And set aside a week or two to go through the sounds.

REGULAR price is $399. The regular price for the crossgrade/upgrade is $249. and the esoundz price right now for that is $219. (it was previously $199 for the launch but that's over now)jeffn1 wrote:I think he meant $249 was the regular cross-grade price.rockin1 wrote:Thanks for the update Squids. rockin, use this page if your still thinking about getting it. http://www.esoundz.com/details/viewDeta ... ductID=242
Sonik Synth 2 is so cool. I would say that going from Sonik Synth 1 to 2, is like going from a nice cargo van to a Mack truck.
Or like moving from a decent 1,000 sq ft house, to a 5,000 sq ft starter castle.

Wait, I've got it -- it's like driving a Mack truck through a 5,000-square-foot starter castle!
No, now that I think of it, it's not like that at all. But I'd still pay 99 cents for a downloadable sample of that sound effect. :-}
