I love the sound of a real drumkit too and the purpose of this tip is to give musicians one of the ways to add variation to a beat. BTW, not just for you but for everyone, the prepared rhodes used to double the drumkit in these examples is not synthesized. It's a real Rhodes with real objects inserted into it that change its sound.
