hi,
i can't decide myself, any help appreciated
how can i decide between convoboy and pristine space light ?
what is the main difference ?
is it very important to have a very low latency inside this effects if i use a latency of 23 ms for my sound card ?
thanks for any help

If your soundcard latency is already 23 ms, I wouldn't worry about adding a few more ms with an effect.

I say, get either. I use Convo Boy, but Pristine Space Light is interesting, too! Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I like the way Paul Harvey (Elevayta) approaches his plug-ins, and is willing to add non-traditional things (ie. the scrolling of the impulse waveform).

Both developers offere excellent support.

Buy both. I did too. Or follow Greg's advice :) Both are great products, and both are great, creative and user-friendly developers. Both have demo-versions that you can try and see what you like best. In both cases it's also the quality of the impulses that you download / buy that very much influence the sound that you create. Much more than with other effects...

Greg, Pristine Space Light allows waveform scrolling, too. Just read the manual. :)

Why would I read the manual for a plug-in I don't own? I simply mentioned that I like Paul's work, which I do. I never said that Aleksy isn't a capable and innovative programmer, either... I simply don't know his products except via demo.

Seems to me that I was being pretty diplomatic and recommending both equally, without mentioning the price difference.

So take that t-shirt and shove it up your ahh-ha-ha-hey, kids! ;-)

Convo Boy: Different Impulses for L/R, Pristine Space Light: Zero Latency. You really need both ;)

I realy think, so far, SIR is the best sounding one. Though, I might try out the Pristine Space Light for its zero latency.

I'd go for convoboy. In fact, I am. Differences? $12.95, but an equally nice set of features.

I thought you were just famous for writing manuals, not for reading them ;), for the Betabugs DomboConvo that is...

Shhh... that's a top-secret plug-in! ;)

I only have ConvoBoy but I am seriously thinking PSL for the low latency. Tracking through impulses would be useful I think.
