Soft Cell Frustration

Is it illegal to download an album if it's no longer possible to buy it legally? I had most of my Soft Cell/Marc Almond collection stolen in a burglary and have been unable to find the CD's of "This last night in Sodom" and "Jacques" anywhere so now I'm looking for downloadable versions - I don't care anymore if they are legal or not - I've tried legal but my options are closed. The law is an ass in this respect because the music industry makes it impossible to buy anything they don't consider profitable. So anyone know where I can find these? - or if anyone can send me a copy on CD I'll happily cover costs I'm getting desperate.

To be honest with you, i bet if you asked the artist himself if he minded you downloading in this circumstance, he wouldn't mind at all.
The thief is the one who broke the law, you bought the stuff , you're not the criminal here, so i wouldn't feel guilty about it.

I had an order with Amazon for both months ago - it's not available. Amazon actually refunded me as they said they couldn't find a supplier.

Thanks - that would be cool. Jacques is his solo album of Jacques Brel songs.Kriminal wrote:Never heard of Jaques, but i can upload Sodom for you.

I'm sure you're right. I doubt he's making much money out of albums the record companies in their wisdom have discontinued anyway.quincy wrote:To be honest with you, i bet if you asked the artist himself if he minded you downloading in this circumstance, he wouldn't mind at all.
