What's the story with Daniel's dissapearance? Is there a thread that reveals why he shut down?

YES! I've been waiting to try this limiter out

NO, that was not the case.

The point was, he spent time and effort to make good (some even would say 'great') plugins, and provided them for free.
His problem was, that some people were ungreatful, unthankful and even disrespectful.

Daniel's plug-ins were the first ones I discovered when I started scanning around for freeware, and I've always been grateful for the amazing results they've produced.

Reading through the original threads, I think the gushing praise even got on his nerves.

Honestly, don't know what to say though, I *do* use one of his plugins in everything I do, and it seems other people use them a *lot* as well so...

I recall at the time Daniel also talking about coming back at some point with some sort of suite of plug-ins. He mentioned the Fish Fillet plug-ins Sascha had done, and how he'd like to do something similar at some point and hinted he would consider returning if he could do something similar. Hopefully this is just a teaser of that series, but if not, it's a damn fine limiter and a welcome addition to my plug-in folder. I just replaced Finalis with the 4032 in a finished master I had done, and the top end really mellowed out in a good way and the song just sounded more natural and pleasing after using the 4032.

Again, hopefully Daniel comes back with more plug-ins, but I'm grateful for this one. Perhaps he'll even just release stuff in this manner, by just posting it to his site with no announcement, board-presence, or way of contacting him. Again though, I'm glad for this one. Well done.

What's a 4032?

The name of this release is "TLs 4032-Pocket_Limiter version 1.0", so basically, a 4032 is what this thread is all about

You must think I'm quite bright...the one I downloaded is called just, "TLs-Pocket_Limiter.dll" I thought there was yet another old TbT plug-in that I failed to get.

Once he posted a fantastic and super-professional 35 MB set of Roto-Tom drum samples he recorded just because I asked for such drum sounds.

I love these sounds so much and I still use them a lot. If you read this, Daniel, thank you very much, you're so generous!
