Corrupt FLP

Ive been ranting about FL freezing my system every now and then.. while auditioning samples, tweaking knobs.. adding FX, at times even during playback. So far i have not come accross a solution.
I have been trying to get FL to work proper with Tracktion, only with a little success.
spend the entire day getting a few patterns layed out for a project, everything coming out well, with a crash every now and then. But i was getting along.. needed to get this project over tonight. almost there.. started mixing... I tweak a sample to increase it's length and the sytstem freezes again.. have to reboot..
trying to load the FL session. Im getting a message stating
"An error occured while reading the FLP file. It may be corrupted or some plugin caused an error while opening"
I have two plugin as of now in the session, one FL Parametric EQ and Ambience.
am I shafted ?
a very depressed me...
I have the FLP file uploaded here. If anyone can open it and save it again id be most gratefull... it's only 1KB.

Thanks Tonmann... very dissapointing indeep.. A zipped file could not be the reason ?
It's goodbye to FL from my side.. im currently in a rather embarising situation.. pissed and depressed.

I don't think so, since the file doesn't contain any information, not even a ZIP-header or something else, just about 70K plain zero bytes...sidhu wrote:A zipped file could not be the reason ?

i already had such similar problems, too...i had turn out well but again and again - in the folder "trash bin" of fruity becomes a backup stored of the last session...cu

ps: i just see, too, that your "flp-file" doesn't include any data at all...

Thanks for the tip tremoblue.. i also read about it while searching the FL forums.. unfortunately the backup also was failed to load (?).
@Wicker man
I have been raising these issues at the FL tech forums. Still have to find a solution... My issues with FL are very serious. In it's current state there is no way i can think of doing any serious work with it. I made a mistake starting this project with FL, knowing that it was not running stable. And ive postpone a project that was to start today.
But i did not know doing a little heavy work (hardly) would totally werck hell.
My biggest issues being that auditioning sounds in the FL browser Freezes the system.. I just have to clik a sound and start to drag it towards the step seq, and the system freezes. This is random.. will not happen everytime.. but will say 4 out 10 times...
Today I for the first time recorded midi into Tracktion which had FL rewired to it. BAD SCENE... System freezes... access violations... the ruts... never been through this before....
I have been bringing these issues up all over.. but no one really seems to know. And im stuck..
I have run this system to the max for almost 2 years now... never ever have I had a corrupt file. Rarely if at all does it crash, mostly due to plugs going bad.
Fl, it wont work as a VSTi, will not work as a Rewire client... not even stand alone... Dunno what to do.

It's been 31 hrs since i have had a nap... dont see one coming anytime soon.

I seriously think this problems have nothing to do with FL Studio. I've had FL Studio in my computer for the longest time and it has crashed on me very few times, and only while trying new plug-ins. About the corrupt files, it has happened to me also, but, because of that, I press Save new version... [Crtl + N]every time I change something. Have you updated drivers? Audio stuff is CPU intensive. Do you have proper CPU cooling? All those things might affect system stability. Hope this helps.

I am also inclined towards thinking that im have hardware issues.. either with my ram or something else.. My CPU was running at about 60 degrees when pushed.. which I guerss is ok.

As he wrote, save several versions of your projects (and FL makes this easy). First, as a history. Second, because FL WILL crash one day or another when saving files, especially if you're using all kinds of plugins. A plugin is a piece of code, written by someone else, and if it crashes, the host is likely to crash along with it.

Something that might help; clean out your temp files before trying to reload the project. While I'm not an FL user, I've run into quite a few apps that will try to reopen the project from the corrupt temp file.

sidhu...having researched the FL Forums, I think you are being unfair to FL staff. You said "I have been raising a lot of issues at the FL tech forums. Most are ignored... - but none of your issues are ignored.
You even said this - Oh a big THANK YOU for replying on a Sunday!! So to say you were being ignored is, quite frankly, a bit mean.

@ Wicker man..
I agree.. im sorry. I wrote that in a scuff... ill edit it now.
here are my machine specs.
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton
512 MB Kingston Value
Audiotrak maya44 MKII ASIO
MSI Nforce 2 mobo
samsung 20 GB for OS and applications. Dual boot. partition 1 DAW dedicated with tweaks. PArtition 2 has all the dirt and internet.
WD 80 GB 2mb cashe for Audio.
Maxtor 60 GB for samples and archives.
Could someone also tell me why am I getting access violation messages while using FL with tracktion, in rewire mode. Could there be a problem writing to ram ?
All other applications over the past 2 years worked flawless.
