I've tried Quantum Leap's Voices of the Apocalypse and Spectrasonic's Symphony of Voices. Both are amazing sets and I can recommend these to anyone.
QLVotA is in GIGA format, but will load in any sampler which supports this format. QLVotA also comes with a word building utility which is very useful and can be used to create realistic sounding words.
SoV is in Akai S1000 format, and again will load in any sampler which supports this format. There is no word building utility with this set.
There is a new choir set which is due to be released on May 16th which does include a word building utility. This is going to come with it's own sample player in the form of Native Instruments' Kompakt. This is the East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Choirs.

Maybe our AVP SampleSets could be something.
The goal with these is not to create a virtual choir able to sing words; it’s purely Ohh’s, Ahh’s and Mmm's with a “10 cc I not in love/ Enya” sound approach. Multi layered female and male (AVP II) vocals to play background chords with. There is plenty of demos at our site to listen to.

I highly recommend Soundscan's Vol 28 'Acoustic and Synth Choirs'. The acoustic ones are very, very, nice. There's a decent collection of childrens choirs, men and women, and women alone. As far as I remember, the RRP is £28 ? or something similar. Akai, wav and aiff formats.

I like AVP (the women's vocals, I don't have the men's yet). I also just picked up Wusik's VOX'd.

i do not realy like VOX´d, i got the demo but i think it sounds very synthetic. I like those natural soft choir sounds. at the moment i´m searching for a demo of the soundscan library. But the AVP´s womans sound exacly like what i´m searching since a long time, and the price is fair i thinkdougsyo wrote:I like AVP (the women's vocals, I don't have the men's yet). The total size of the soundfonts is around 65mb. You can download the other formats at a later time if you wish (as long as you don't lose your download info!--JT-- wrote:Sounds like what i was searching forprecisionsound wrote:Maybe our AVP SampleSets could be something.
Larsyou will get my order next month i think. How big are the Soundfonts, cause i got a very solw connection ?? and will i be able to download other formats later at any time, or can i download them only once ??
What about a Voice bundle with all (male/female/demonic) voice samples ??
Also, I would recommend buying them sooner rather than later, as there is a 15% discount for KvR members at the moment (no end date has been specified, but it could be the end of this month...see the Market Place forum for the original post).

The end date is 30 April. After that we will cancel the KvR discount coupon offer.

I've recently purchased AVP I & II and also Vox'd.
But in the end I've only been using AVP (in soundfont format in Sfz+). I haven't used Vox'd at all so far. I'm wondering if I wasted my money on this one...
I'll take a look at the other ones mentioned on this thread. Thanks guys.

What I have and like:
AVP I and II
Soundscan Vol 28 Acoustic & Synth Choirs
ProSamples Vol 13 Choirs
I use them in some heavily synthetic contexts, even the acoustic choirs. By this I mean that I'm not trying to fake real choirs in any measure - if that is your intent YMMV. For my applications they are great - very good value for the money.
