Pristine Space feature idea

I'm converting over from SIR to PSpace Light right now, and I just realized a feture that I use in SIR all the time but PSpace is missing: timestretch.

I can do a simple time stretch to make a 2 second impulse be 4 seconds, without modifying the original impulse. It's not a great time stretch, but it does what I need.

I can take an impulse that is longer than I want and "brighten" it by shrinking it to 50%. I can take an impulse that is longer than I want and make it "darker" and moodier by stretching it to 150% or more.

I mentioned it to Aleksey (given that he has r8brain, which is teh best of breed sample rate converter), and he said that he hadn't considered it, but if enough people wanted it...

So - does anyone else use this feature of SIR? I use it all the time. I am appalled that I missed it before I bought PSpace Light.

Speak up...

Yup,

That would be a good future feature from my point of view as well. :)

Actually, that DOES sound like a very cool feature! However, I'm guessing that he would rather add it to the full Pristine Space than to the light version! (Which is fine with me, but not you! :P )

Tim, just want to add here that you can use EQ envelope in PS Light to 'brighten' and 'darken' impulse responses.

Oh, I know, I like PSpace in every other way, I just forgot that used the stretch feature of SIR in a bunch of half-finished projects, which means I can't switch them to PSpace.

You know what would REALLY rock? If PSpace could open SIR presets (.fxp files). Talk about easy conversion. :)

Anyway, thanks. Your plugs rock.
