Hi everyone :)

I was just wondering -

is there a VST gate that offers two outputs (or more!)? For example, one output would output the signal that's let through gate and another output would output the signal that's getting gated out.

This way you could effectively use such a gate VST to send a single drumloop (or whatever else) to different effects according to changing dynamics of signal (e.g. delay A applied to only hits that are louder than the gate threshhold and delay B applied everything else that's below the gate threshhold).

also I'm interested in finding the similar 'spliter' type of thing that splits audio signal depending on the pitch - so for example, notes above certain frequency would be routed to output 1 and notes below certain frequency would be routed to output 2 and so on and so on..

basically i'm looking for something like a regular MIDI splitter thing but that can be used for audio signal so I can use it on all sorts of things like live recorded accoustic drum/guitar/vocal/etc, etc, etc... something like this combined with EnergyXT would be f**king amazing!

Anybody's got any tips on these things?

Thank you all! :)

We've got a bunch of shit like this in Buzz, but as for VST i haven't seen much. I take it you've already checked out Oli Larkin's QuadPan right? It lets you route a single input into multiple outputs by use of an x/y dialog or LFO control.

I believe you can setup some multiout freq. splitting stuff using reaktor(4) as a vst.

There's _gotta_ be some multiband multi-out VSTs though... somewhere. I've had no luck on google and I've looked around before.

Pitch would be a little bit trickier for a dev to make .. but that would be cool to see.

There a couple of plugs that can help you with audio spltting there's old mda's Splitter and the newer Tiny Splitter.

I love you're first idea, but unfortunately I don't anything that will do it.

I'll put a second output on Tiny Gate that has the inverted-gate output, but don't hold your breath waiting for it to come out. (Oh, whoops - you're talking about a noise-gate, not a gate sequencer. Never mind then! But I'll put a noise gate on the list...)

Note that Tiny Splitter uses 24dB/octave filters to do its splittage, not serious brick-wall filters, so there's substantial overlap/leakage from band to band (though definitely attenuated).

Don't do it my way.
