Like the drums
How did you do them ?
The only thing I would do differently is the guitar solo, it should be more in front, not so deep in the mix.
But than again I am a guitaris, I like big guitars in front.

Very cool! I am listening to it now. I agree, the drums do sound great (I like "active drumming" too).

Thanks! That's actually a lead patch that I programmed on my AN1x. It's the closest approximation to a distorted guitar I can come up with.Good track! I love the slowing-down rotary effect at 0:31. The distorted guitars would've benefited from a different treatment, but the overall impression was still clear enough.

Matthew's recipe for sick drums:How did you do them?
1.) Create a simple pattern in real time.
2.) Loop it.
3.) Painstakingly hand-edit the measures to add realism (ghost notes, swing and iterative quantize, monster fills, etc.).

I wish I would have the ability and patience for something like this.Matthew's recipe for sick drums:

Again, well done!

Keep trying. DFH 1 kinda requires the ability and patience of which you speak because it comes with a small sample set (6 hits for each drum, basically). This means I have to constantly tweak velocities to avoid "machine gunning." Eventually, I'll give in and get DFH Superior of BFD. Until then, it's fun to milk this kit for all it's worth!
DR Fusion is also used for the slow section--an incredible freebie. Thanks Odo!
Thank you.Again, well done!
