Hi tonalaxis
Thanks so much for the compliment!

I am so Glad you are enjoying... You are probably discovering that there is quite a bit to her for an under $100 Synth ... Myself and the Preset Team really put a lot into the Sound design part and i think you guys are seeing that! She ships with Over 730 presets now.
It really is a Synth meant to be Played!
Cheers

The guitars are excellent, I haven't had much chance to go through all the presets yet though. Are there many waveforms that weren't used in the presets??

I was hoping for more string sounds other than the cello (violas, violins etc.) are there plans in the pipeline to add these ?

If anyone is thinking of buying this I advise you to buy it!! instead of one of those romplers that cost a hell of alot more than Manystation. Well worth the money and the same goes for Wusikstaion,TSW and voxed.
Well done Manytone and Wusik for bringing affordable workhorses to the masses.

No. Maybe you noticed my thread in the Wusik forum about the TSW mapping, I did the same mapping for Manystation, and the only samples that weren't used are

Code: Select all

MT Bass Guitars_Electric StringNoiseEbass1
MT Bass Guitars_Electric StringNoiseEBass2
MT Guitars_Electric GtrStringNoiseElec
MT Synth_Keys - Leads ARP01
MT Vol1 HW Classics BassStandup
All the other soundsets are used heavily, 4-6 times and usually more :)... and still all the presets sound different ;)

Hey cool HansM
Even i didn't know that :-)

But about the first three.... The string noise patches.
Those actually are used as they are built into the Bass and Guitar sets. We also included them seperate though, incase users had their own bass samples and needed some Noise realism :-)

The other two though ... I am Shocked ... Shall i Fire the Preset team :-)
Just Kidding ... Those guys were Great!
Not bad though ...I am surprised it is only 2 then :-)

Crazy Dave ...your sounds are fantastic .... Guys ... Most of the Synth Bass are Daves Samples edited by Me... incase you did not know. And of course, the sure to be a Classic "Lennys Piano" is also a Dave Set.
A bunch more stuff is coming from the 2 of us too ... in fact the first Upcoming Free ManyMore includes some more of Daves Samples, done up in ManyStation Format.

Thanks again for the list HansM.

You're welcome. If you like, I can send you the complete list (or Excel) by email :).

As I said before, the Manystation soundsets are very heavily used in the presets (which is logical, with over 700 presets). When compared to the TSW and VOX'd sets, they have a lot more opportunities to create new presets with unused soundsets ;), which is a good thing too, generating initiatives like the T3 preset bank...

Post

I've just got TSW and VOX'd and the combination of these soundsets with the Manystation ones opens up all sorts of new sounds - I've just been going through presets and adding sounds from other sets into unused layers with some instantly interesting results!

I've got an idea - how about listing the unused soundsets and running a quick challenge (no prize - not a competition) to design patches using only the unused soundsets? You could have a fixed end date and then review the new patches to generate a revised (smaller) list of unused soundsets, then rerun the challenge until there are no unused ones left.

I just hate the thought of some sad soundset sitting around knowing that it isn't used anywhere :)

Derek.

Unused soundsets for Manystation? All 5 of them?

btw, I'm working on a *personal* TSW bank that uses the unused TSW soundsets... (but that's for a different forum ;))

Post

Good point - I meant the total set of unused soundsets (Wusik/TSW/VOX'd/Many) - you're right, wrong forum for this.

Derek.

In that case: I totally agree. I hate too to see lonely neglected soundsets in my directories ;)
