Hi guys.....i'd like to know from you what do u think about the "soft sat" process inside the TC Works Native Equalizers.....is it like a real "warm" hardware EQ sound or this is bullshit??
Do u know any bad points in using this "soft sat"??
Do u know any other equalizers that does this kind of equalization?? anything better than that??

As far as I know that bundle has been discontinued for ages. It is a very old set of plugs. At one time they were among the better ones. I only ever used the reverb that came with VST/32 so I can't comment on the EQ. But it should be better than the built in EQs of most hosts.
Saying "warm" hardware eq is a little off since there are plenty of digital hardware eqs and plenty of anolog eqs that are harsh.

If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

Yeah...as SJ says, it's an old one, but can still hold its head up reasonably high. I'd say it has a little bit of character, but clean enough not to irritate too many people. It's kind of miidle-of-the-road in terms of Eq character.
I must admit I used to wonder about the actual gain/boost it output compared to what the readouts said...you could boost a whole lot of Eq with TC Native, yet it didn't sound overly Eq'd often. I also didn't find it that useful as a surgical prescision Eq. But.....it's very difficult to absolutely ruin a channel with TC Native - I always remember it as a fairly natural-sounding Eq, not particularly artificial (which is a good thing IMO). A bit woolly in the bass, but pleasantly warm. And that's without the soft-sat engaged.
To be honest I never used the soft sat; I always found it muffled the output too much...which I suppose means that it's vaguely emulating analogue tape. It really is a matter of taste though...I'm sure many users loved that sound.
I'd still say TC Native is better than many of the newer options, although there are definitely now better ones available. It's bloody ages since I used it, but I'd be happy to use it again. Definitely not past its sell by date yet, even though discontinued.

I gotta say I really love the (last) Native Bundle, and I enjoy the "soft-sat" sound. I think the TC Compressor/De-esser is the best VST compressor I've ever used. Maybe it's that soft saturation-thing, but to me it sounds and behaves like outboard gear, and just inserting it and using the "Soft-Analog" preset instantly punches up any track! The EQ's sound nice too, I love how the Graphic EQ works and again there's a very analog-gear-feel to the sound; the parametric has some killer presets for drums (I'm normally not a preset-jockey, I swear!) that I use often as a starting point, and the Limiter is very cool too. Never liked the famous Reverb, oddly enough...
So I guess the answer is, IMHO, yes; the EQ does have a kind of "hardware" sound.
That reminds me - ethics question: if a company completely abandons a platform and you can't buy their plug-ins anymore, does that mean it's OK to use cracked versions?

Whaddaya know, you can still get it for about $299 US. Nice...I thought it was unavailable apart from Ebay. I'll have to get a copy for home, then.
