I hope you're planning on using something other than RMS to do the judging for this. It's really easy to increase the RMS just by adding a DC offset in the silence at the end. I also managed to raise the RMS by 8 dB just by doing a constant DC offset. Obviously, you can just put in a high pass filter to expose these kinds of tricks, but it's just something to be aware of.

I just sent my contribution.. but I seem to have misunderstood a bit. I used no EQ.. that is, I didn't really do any "mastering". I just ran it trough some compressors and Elephant.

Nope. We wont judge only by watching the RMS level. It's about the sound and not about numbers.

You are allowed to do anything.

Dynamix can even be used as an EQ.

Don't worry! AFAIK with unique taste and stylish coloring you have better chance than with a bass pumping, totally distorted version.

But don't mind me, just do it your way! We don't want to force anything on you. Just do it like you where given the job to master the track and send to the ~factory.
