I found this pedal amongst my old guitar stuff and it has very nice sound but I know nothing about it or the company.

Anybody else know anything about it.

At last - someone asks a question on a topic which I actually know something about (had to happen eventually!).

Amdek was a brand set up by Roland in the 80s to try to appeal to the market which couldn't afford Boss pedals. The deal was that you bought a blister packed pedal which you had to assemble yourself - the package contained a prebuilt circuit board (so no soldering of fiddly components), a casing, knobs, switches etc. For most of the range all you needed to do was some very basic soldering and the rest of it was like self-assembly furniture.

The big bonus was that the core circuitry was (allegedly) the same as the Boss pedals which the Amdek range was derived from.

I've still got an Amdek distortion, analog delay and (best of all) chorus pedal - I used them all back in my gigging days and they never let me down.

I've not heard the phaser in action but I'm guessing it's got a nice tone to it.

Thanks for the response Derek, I guess they are not worth a lot then but it sure sounds nice. I was hoping it would be of value as I need to raise some cash.

)
