What is the best free software for ripping CD's? Prefereably with good error correction?

Most will probably tell you EAC (Exact Audio Copy), but I prefer CDex. EAC is supposedly safer as it repeatedly scans the disc to make sure the copy is precise, but CDex seems faster, I prefer the interface, it has a selection of great encoders (LAME mp3, ogg, etc) included. I've never had an even slightly dodgy rip from it, even with moderately scratched/scuffed discs. EAC can sometimes rip CDs in a terrible state successfully though, so it's useful to have around.
