How can I access this page witch Cubase SX3.01?

ThanX,

I am not familiar with Cubase SX3, but in SONAR 4 Producer Edition, with it's enhanced mixing console (assignable FX controls, per-channel EQ), you can expose the (4) additional "hidden" Plate 140 parameter's as convenient sliders, in the Track Inspector. They are also automatable. Does Cubase have assignable FX controls that can be exposed as sliders or maybe even knobs?

In Cubase if you hold ctrl+shift when you click the 'e' to open any VST, you get the default interface instead of the GUI.

OH and yes, all the parameters are listed in the automation list. If you don't see it in the first set click "more.." and you will see something like "Insert:#:UAD Plate 140 - Damp B"

SJ_Digriz - thank you!

btw, you're hardcore poster (cubase.net, chrismilne..), aren't you ;-)
I'm just wondering, when you get around to make some music...

Just kidding.

cheers,

Anymore I mostly help other people make music. One of these days I'm gonna finish one or two of these songs cluttering up several hundred folders on my hard drive.

I get all these nifty post counts while I'm at work trying to avoid accomplishing anything.

I know, I know...

Could it be, you're not only a hardcore poster, but a hardcore tweaker as well ;-)
With me it's always the same: starting off with some nice beats and sounds. But instead of keeping the train running, all of a sudden there's a voice coming up from my deepest brain asking "how about putting a little envelope on the resonance" or "shouldn't you better take the other delay?" - and then the magic is gone :-(

cheers,
LO

Well, I do stuff like sequence 12 to 16 bars of drums from one of my favorite songs then I'll just record guitar for an hour while that is looping. Then do the same for keyboards. I then dig through those and find good stuff and make riffs, chorus and brige loops out of them, but I never get around to actually putting it together and polishing stuff off. I just enjoy jammin'.

Yes you who are mocking DSP reverbs.

UAD's Plate 140 is beautiful. It's by far my favorite, too.

"Dark Side of the Moon" was recorded with one single Plate 140 verb. As far as I know, it's the only verb Floyd used throughout the album. :hihi:

I like this one better :scared:

Just to make this interesting and compare different reverb algorithms on the same material, I made sound test using Princeton Digital's Stereo Room with the same parameters. The algorithm is not a plate reverb, but it's still interesting to hear how it works on the same source material. Since there is a "position" knob in Stereo Room, which (as far as I know) is missing from the UAD's Plate algorithm, I made two versions of the reverb test: one with position set to full and one with position set to 50%.

Princeton Digital's Stereo Room is a great Reverb.
Using it on fast cords on an acoustic guitar
is heavenly.
It is also very good at blending harsh instruments into almost any mix.
I would buy it but I refuse to use PACE.

many people seem to like uad. but I do don't see the advantage of having to buy a seperate card for my fx. better invest the money on a stronger cpu and native plugins. When it comes to reverb, except from convolution solutions, my favourite is Spin Audio Roomverb M1 or M2. I got the M1 as part of the essential plugins bundle which is just 95 USD (also other good stuff is included). I took your dry file (24 bit) and applied the medium plate preset with some minor tweakings to it. To adjust vol levels I used elephant. Here you may check the result and compare:
