Obituary, Suffocation, Accidental Suicide, Immortal Aggression, and Disfigured - all in one show, 1990.
There was a Stevie Wonder show in the 80's, but I was only like 9 or 10 and I don't remember much.

That's about as sharp a contrast as is humanly possible, I think.highdropod wrote:Obituary, Suffocation, Accidental Suicide, Immortal Aggression, and Disfigured - all in one show, 1990.

An idiot on Set Theory:

Mott the Hoople at Leeds Town Hall (late 70s).
I thought they were great and the support band were surprisingly good too - some outfit called Queen. Wonder what became of them
Regards,
Derek.

As a kid I got dragged along to a lot of both jazz, classical and (danish) rock. First show that blew my mind was Sebastian (Knud Christensen, you have to be danish to know him, I guess).
First show I went to without older sis or parents (and therefore paying my own admittance) was Howard Jones on the Like to Get to Know You Well tour. Typical for me I wast most pleased when he kicked the other musicians offstage and did a couple songs solo. Howard Jones with a band???!? C'mon!

Does Alvin and the Chipmunks count?
If not, it was Stryper, Loudness and TNT in '85 or '86 at Alpine Valley (Wisconsin, that is).

ELP at the montreal forum when Carl Palmer came back. It was a great show. Most impressive was Emerson for putting on a crazy performance both musically and visually.
