Hey Peeps,

I'm looking at getting a couple of Sample CDs - anyone know of a site that has good prices?

Blister Pak from Time&Space in the UK comes to 93 Euro + Shipping - from mtlc.net comes to 76 Euro (and its on sale at the moment - further savings yummie) + Shipping

Anyone got any good hints please?

Thanks,
Dave

I would definitely recommend Time+Space or mtlc.net/House of Samples both of them have been reliable and I’ve not had any problems with them so far.

Also when your comparing prices of suppliers in USA and Europe don’t forget to take into account any extra import duty or taxes that you may have to pay.

Thanks Ashley!

It was late lastnight when I posted this so import duty is something I didnt even consider :) No import duty from the UK so this might be the way to go...

Thanks for taking the time.

All the best,
Dave

Happy to help Dave,

I have fond that by the time you take into account shipping and tax when ordering stuff from the USA, it’s not that much cheaper than just ordering from Time+Space and they usually deliver it a lot quicker as well.

That’s not to say that you can’t get some great deals from the USA and Europe, you just need to take any extra shipping or import duty/tax costs into account, another small additional cost you may have to pay is foreign exchange commission if you pay by credit card.

I use mtlc.net/House of Samples mostly for stuff I can’t get from Time+Space like SonyMedia or if they have good offer on something, they also have an extra 5% discount at various times through the year.

Dave :D i've tried both mtlc and time and space for deliveries to Ireland..

mtlc .. you WILL absolutely pay tax on your purchase.. i got hit huge for my VSL 1st ed ..

never again..

i always go to Timeandspace every time now.. they have everything and are very helpful

you should get the goods in a couple of days too.. they have mega quick shipping at not too much

Hi Claire!!!

Thanks for the advice - I think thats exactly what I needed to hear :)

Theres 6 or 7 CD's Ive had my eye on for ages so I would get hammered with import duty. Time & Space it is then...

The only thing that got me interested in Mtlc is that they have GRM Tools Vol1 for $149  I'll keep on the lookout!

Thanks Ashley and Claire! Your advice has been great and I think its saved me a nasty surprise on duty!
