as for tuning the delay time...
[/quote]
1) - Use a delay time between 10 and 25 millisecond
2)- Push the feedback parameter to it limit before larsening
3)- Adjust the delay time to be exactly corresponding to a complete wave cycle of the frequency of the fondamental note of your harmony
4)- Keep in mind though, that you can't change tonality, or at least on very similar mode with the same ( substituted ) fondamental
5)- For last adjustment , use a discreet hi-freq damper on the feedback loop
This IS the way to tune a delay time
I swear that if you try such a delay line's self-made patch with a guitar on open tuning, you' ll have some marvellous results
Trust my experience...

Couldn't resist...

This is an example of what i'm pretending to on a sitar preset...
( featuring the mda dubdelay to create this additionnal, sympathetic, short delay effect )
...but i forgot to disable the quantize fonction during bouncing, so i again couldn't resist on doing a short orchestration on it :

have fun !!!
