I've made a prototype VST effect to fix phase problems in recordings with 2 mics, caused by the mics being at different distances from the sound source (e.g.acoustic guitar or something).

Would anybody think this is a useful utility to have?

Yes.

It would also be great if there were something to tell whether or not there are phase cancellation problems in the first place. Sometimes the difference can be subtle.

Ok so some sort of metering to show up if there's phase problems, that's a nice idea.

Funny you should ask. I'm about to purchase my a new mic, and I intend to start using two mics to record my guitar. I'd love to check this out once it's available.

Voxengo already has such a plugin and it retails for $49.99 so i think it should be useful.

Sounds like it would definately be worth finishing off this plug properly. I'll get back to you with its done

Do you make Stereo recordings of instruments?
