Actually i think before and up to v6 it was in the hands of SEKD and then it was aquired by Magix. What i may be missing is that it may have been owned by magix but developed by SEKD. They actually had plans of having emagic develop it at v7 but then Apple bought them out and PC was dead for them.jens wrote:they didn't 'aquire' Samplitude - they developed it!Mr Sleep wrote: Samplitude is the the only program that makes them look pro, but how were they before acquiring Samplitude?
Do you think the old code is in good inough hands to foresee better things in the future?
Samplitude has been a Magix product since V1!

nope - it was only distributed by SekD and then after that it was distributed by Emagic until they abandonded the pc-platform - it was never developed by SekD and there were never any plans made public that Emagic should develop Samplitude - distribution and development are two rather different pairs of shoes...popsych wrote:Actually i think before and up to v6 it was in the hands of SEKD and then it was aquired by Magix. So its in good hands den hay?
For some who dont give a **** about Logic/Magix protocol, one of the major reasons why Im sticking with is that you dont have to halt the song when inserting a plug or hitting record from play and vice versa.
BTW punch in/out needs to be predetermined so its useless for that on the fly need inputting inspiration blocks without a stop.
Right now Im trying out Ableton Live and its doing wonders so far.

hi 2 questions, maybe you can help me:
1. does Magix music studio work well with hardware synths?
2. does anyone use FL as a vst in Magix? does it work well?
thanks a lot.
