I actually wish all developers would move to ilok, or at least support it as an alternative. It's not perfect, but having all my authorizations in one place would make life a lot easier when I need to wipe & reinstall.

Or they could just admit defeat, cast of the plight of Sisyphus, and devote all that coding effort to making better product.

Warez will persist whether we like it or not. And while it might have some abstract depleting effect on the marketplace, shocking to think that through twenty-some-odd years of software piracy, many a fortune has been made and there is more commercial software available now than ever before.

Regarding copy protection, here's how I see it:

urs supports ilok.com, so I haven't got a problem with that.

waves supports the ilok key, but not ilok.com, that's stupid.

Sonalksis have the easiest/friendliest form of copy protection I've come across on quality plugins, ever.

oh, i didn't have one single mayor problem with hydratone in my projects?

just to inform all hydratone-users, there is a mayor problem(due to the date, first of may, so when i wrote this the problem didn't exist)
