Another cool instrument. Still haven't used 'em in a song, but I'll have to throw at least another fiver in the kitty soon based on pure potential! :)

Its come out well Herman, similar in sound to the chanter you done. The bends are fun to play and listen to as well :)

I listened to a Chinese folk song before recording the instrument, and I noticed the player bended the notes a lot, so I tried to recreate that. Glad you like them. :wink:

I used the Rode NT1a mic, which has a really neutral sound adding only 5 dBa of noise(!), and it went straight into the Tascam FW1884's pre-amps. I love this mic for double reeds, and I'll be recording the Shengh with it as well.
