I liked the way Recycle and Rex worked but I don't use Reason any more... what is a good VST that I can take a sample that I've already cut with Audition (or one that I can cut within the plugin) and make a loop that has segments that I can play on my controller or just loop for how ever long I feel... thanks in advance

How about using Battery as a VSTi within Sonar. It has some pretty good flexability.

If I remember right, Cyclone required acidized loops, but I may be mistaken.orangesuite wrote:why not use cyclone. or get kontakt
My recommendation is Dicer/MicroDicer, but I said that in the Instruments section.

Get Vsampler 3 and kill a lot of birds with one stone. It's got the best beatslicer that I've used in a VST sampler. It's got disk streaming for large samples and and excellent editor for samples. My favorite thing about Vsampler is one that is so obvious that it amazes me that every sampler is not like this. You can detatch any of the windows/editors and resize them to any size you like. It's the difference between editing a sample in something like Kontakt in a window that looks like that of a hardware sampler vs in Vsampler 3 in a window the size of your entire screen.jdplaya wrote:I liked the way Recycle and Rex worked but I don't use Reason any more... what is a good VST that I can take a sample that I've already cut with Audition (or one that I can cut within the plugin) and make a loop that has segments that I can play on my controller or just loop for how ever long I feel... thanks in advance

EnergyXT.
Besides being a full fledged host, it can also be inserted as a VST in Sonar.
EnergyXT's built in sampler would accomplish your goals of triggering a pre-sliced loop, and do a whole lot more .
