I read the manualt, but can´t find out:

1. If I choose a "ST2-drumset",. can I assign ST2-
effect to a single drum individually (like more rev
on the snare, or spring-rev on the snare only) ?

2. Can I route ONE single drum from a set to a
seperate output, to make individual effects in
cubase ?

3. Can I make a new drumset with favorite-drums
from other drumsets ?

These features are very essential for making a dub-
wise tune with effect-proccessing on the drums, it
is always done very individual, with effects being
assignable from a single note or zone, at least so
it is done in V-sampler and HALion, but I can only put effect´s on the hole program it seems, and the
third question (3) is also very essential to me

I saw suggestions to some related "work-arounds"
longer down the page it just seems so silly and troubled,.... so I dare to ask again

Kind Regards
HM

The way to do it is by loading different kits into several slots, and setting them all to respond to the same midi channel. The use zone editing to mute or filter individual drum sounds.

It's actually very flexible - you can do cool things like layer two snare drums, and use a lowpass filter on one and a highpass filter on another - to combine the body of one snare with the snap of another! Layering kick drums is cool too - combine an electronic kick for low end with a more acoustic-sounding kick for liveliness. Of course, you can turn the volume right down on one layer so only the other is audible. By having the kits on different parts, you can also apply different effects processing to each layer.

If you want to save such a setup, just save it as a combi - that will save all the settings in the plugin as a single preset so you can recall it later in one go.

I hope that helps. :)

Forever,

Kim.

Thanks for confirming, seems a little "backwards" :-)

But at least this is a useable work-arround, and the
favorites can be saved, I get used to it,.. hmmmmmmm

Something to change in version 3 ,.... LOL

Thanks for helping me out my qestion 3 is
also answered, have not even installed My
SS2 update yet, but I assume that it works
more or less the same way ?

I've gotten say a kick seperated with the rest. If you're using midi data, just split the notes to a different channel e.g. kick ch 10, the rest ch 11, then load ST accordingly. Mui bueno for not having verb on the kick-which is eekk  unless your into dnb, hip hop etc.

Still new to St, so been messing with it, next is seperating the snare, should be easy enough, though it is a waste of CPU cycle.
