Oh! I am sorry you feel that way but the most I can do is to thank you for taking your time to read about the competition (and the post here) and to tell you: you are not forced to participate if you don't want. But you can leave others do it. Again, thank you for taking your time!

Post

Well, as far as I know there are still 4-5 days before the deadline so participations are still welcome.

Good luck!

Will I win?

Only if they can replicate your entry with their software.

Maybe I should've just used a compressor? Or just a limiter? Not three thingies? :)

If you are so sure about it you can link your ~ultimate version here, too.
Although it seems like you don't want to participate you make me (us) even more curious with theese comments. ;)

It doesn't really matter. All they need to do is redither your entry so it's not bit for bit identical and claim it as their own.

As I said, it's not a competition.

Granted, someone else has probably made a better-sounding entry.

What I can do is supply the settings for the plugs I used. And most likely, they will do the same. So that anyone can try it out using both the competitors setup, and the judges.

I agree that it's not really a competion though, but I still think it's fun to participate.

.fxp files will be uploaded. This way everyone can try and test it with a VST host application (processed in real-time).

Well, that gets over that objection. Now all you need is an independant judge to pick the winner.

You could have used anything. I cant listen to your entry right now, so i dont know from wich one we are talking about.

The winners list will be publicated on our site with the full gear list and thier .wav/.aiff file. You'll be able to listen to it... so dont worry about the clearness of this competition. A bad sounding winner would also be bad ad for us.

We will submit the fxp files! Not a wav file!

Maybe you should read the rules before posting bullshit.

It's nothing to do with good or bad sounding. It's about you being able to pick winners you can replicate.

HOW LOUD CAN YOU BE?

WWAYM Team announces a competition.

You get a mixdown. You have to show your mastering skills by optimizing it to 0 dB. The result must be as loud as possible but with taste. Quality is your goal. You can use any software or hardware except WWAYM Dynamix to achive the best result. The only condition is that the used software/hardware must be legal because winners will have to explain the chain they used.

Before the winner announcement WWAYM will reproduce the winner's work by using only WWAYM Dynamix to demonstrate the value of the plugin.

Winners will be chosen by WWAYM's jury.

1st prize: WWAYM Dynamix + NWSynth + NWRCFil license key
2nd prize: WWAYM Dynamix + NWRCFil license key
3rd prize: WWAYM Dynamix license key

Rules:
- Competitors must use legal tools!
- Competitors are not allowed to use WWAYM Dynamix!
- Competitors must provide the detailed description of the used tools and the way
they achived the result!
- Competitors agree that WWAYM can publish the list of their tools and the way of their work!
- Competitors must accept the deadline!
- Competitors must provide the file as described below!
- We accept only one file from a competitor!

The jury's decision is final. Competitors violating the rules will be disqualified.

The deadline is 7 May 2005. Winner will be announced in one week after the deadline.

Submitting your entry:
- File format: 16 bit 44.1KHz .wav or .aif (.rar and .zip is allowed).
- File must be sent to info@wwaym.com.
- Subject must be LOUDNESS COMPETITION ENTRY.

Good luck!

WWAYM Team
