Oh god! This thing rocks. Though the nagging time is too tight.

Yes, it is.... :?

I REALLY wish it was less debilitating, because a purchase (for me) depends on how I like programming it, and the current nag scheme makes it far to onerous to really dig in and check out what t can do.

More the pity.

how long is nag interval in the updated version?

Why not just contribute a small amount of money, and if you like it you can pay him some more, and if you don't like it then you're only out a few bucks. There is no set minimum required, and with Paypal it is extremely convenient.

I don't think the nag is that bad. This tune here...

..was done by entirely using the 1.0 demo version with all the sounds programmed from scratch.

Just installed latest version. 2 minutes between nags by my watch (don't know if that is longer than last version)

The length of the nag does make it difficult to evaluate how Foorius is to program you really need more than 2 min to get started on a patch.... but in 2 min you can be tempted by the sound.

While it doesn't have all the mod possiblities of Kubik, you've got wavetables that are imo much easier to animate. Also 4 operators vs. 2, 4 filters vs. 2. And to my ear better sounding filters.

Foorius seems to me pretty easy to program, the gui is easy to get around, as well as attractive. The envelopes are a little odd at first but I've really come to like them (I really prefer non-graphic envelopes). LFO setup is the best I've seen. Wavetable editing is now better in 1.1.

Now that I've thought about it, its not really fair to compare Foorius to Kubik, Jon created a synth with great depth... But on the topic of programability I find Foorius very accessable.

Not "bad" - just makes it hard for me to find out if I like programming it. Just when I get going, it appears. :(

That said, it is extremely generous of you to make it available at all!

I support small decs when I can, and in the end I may well send something anyway.

Toodles.

I bought 1.0, so I don't know if the nagging has been changed, but yeah - I thought that it was incredibly annoying, and if I had been on the fence about the synth, I wouldn't have bought it. I don't think it's impossible to get anything done with it, but it was just...really annoying.

Guys!!!!

I found a workaround for the nag-screen issue!

(cheers for the update, doogs]
