Plugins checker needed - any suggestions?

I'm trying to get hold of something (free if possible) that will check for bad plugins (or at least ones that won't work in my host). I sometimes get plugins that keep on crashing my host (Cubasis 4) when they're being detected when the program starts. I know I can rename or remove each plugin and work out the problem manually, but I'm fed up with doing that and haven't got time to check each one every time I get the problem.

I'm running Win XP, 1MHZ processor, 768MB RAM, Cubasis 4.

*edit* though this will not check for host specific compatibilities...that is still pretty much a hit and miss affair.
