Hi Dave,I just got CM issue 52 and really like the DS404.I have the Bread and Butter sounds from your site-I assume they have had the patch applied.By the way I got an error message during the unzip of the String 404.I have Scot's excellent drum kits.Are there any more sounds available at this time?I understand there is a SampleCd in the works but it doesn't sound like it will be released until next month at least.
While I have your ear what happened to Neutron?Any release date?Any Positron news? Thanks!!!

The patch problems only afflicted the 640mb of sounds CM provided in issue 50. You only need the updater if you got those sounds from the original CD with that issue.
The CD that came with issue 52 also has the BB sounds on it, and they're not zipped. I just downloaded it myself from the FTP and it seemed to be OK though.
That FTP link elsewhere in the thread is your best bet right now for getting more DS404 patches. We're still waiting on some more material for the sample CD so you are right in thinking that it is going to be some time away yet.

The patches on the FTP are indeed the issue 50 patches (but with the fixes applied I guess).
Neutron is a drum machine plug based on SR202, with a handful of additional features that people have been crying out for. Stereo and 24-bit sample support, for example. So far, a lot of the code has been written and we're working on the GUI. If Christmas starts to get in the way though it won't appear until the new year.
Positron is a multi-timbral synth with waveform modulation oscillators just like Tau Pro and filters like DS404. It also has wicked unison and portamento features, plus a decent multi-timbral FX unit. Don't ask me when its going to be ready, this one is a labour of love and it won't be released until its done.
