My mate gave me a T-shirt last yule, with this caption on the front: "Don't make me release my flying monkeys!" Wunnaful, that. It's in an ->ADULT<- size, too, which is extra-special.

First, adult artists have more money. By alot. By so very much. This isn't too big an issue, though, considering how much free stuff there is available. Still, you're not going to find many younger artists using anything remotely expensive, which are often the most time-saving/excellent products (not all the time) - no Stylus RMX or BFD or EWQLSO or GPO or Korg Legacy Collection or MiniMonsta, etc. - and ESPECIALLY not the kind of equipment necessary to gain access to real-world sounds (good audio interface, microphones, mixer, instruments, talented friends, etc.).

That aside, there's also the fact that most young artists of today have more responsibilities than you think they do. It's not all time - school/college can be MUCH more than an 11-12 hour workday, depending on how much you apply yourself and what kind of courseload you have.
