Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

Hey, I spelled it wrong. Should say "blepharospastic drum 'n' piccolo." There goes my adhesive gold foil star for this week.

Post

Distractioncore.

I always start out by writing something in the style of Bob Dylan. Then I cut out the words and the guitars, feed it through a granular reassembly unit, scramble, resample, download a Reaktor ensemble or two, combine them, process it using that, throw on some delay, and then right when I like what I hear I realize the track was not armed. Then I accidentally delete the entire file and my computer crashes.

R'n'B, Jazzrock, Latin, Lounge, Pop, 80's covers, Rock, Ballads.

My setup:

- Sequencer
Tracktion (love it!)

- Audio food
Ibanez "George Benson" model guitar, Hohner semi-acoustic guitar, Fender guitar, Tune "Bass Maniac" bass guitar, guitar and bass amplifiers, drums, percussion, my vocals, and sometimes the fan noise of my new and very expensive DELL Workstation with friggin so-called "quiet case technology" (what a dissapointment, next time I buy a watercooled PC!!)

- MIDI food
Soundfont instruments (very carefeully selected from many soundfonts during the past weeks and partly self-made) with "sfz" player (will buy the pro version, seems worth it).
VST instruments: Mr Ray 73 (love it), Plugsound free (ah well the Spanish Guitar), Superwave P8 (love it), 4Front EPiano (one of the few I did *not* delete after trying).
Track effects: LPEQ2 equalizer (love it), Blockfish compressor (love it), Ambience reverb, Pianoverb, Univibe, Kjaerhus chorus, WideBoy, JCM900 amp simulation.
Vocals processing: Melodyne (what an incredible thing!!)
Mastering: Endorphin (very useful), Spectralive (love it), Inspector (must have).
Keyboards: Roland S-50 sampler (old but good), M-Audio keyboard (must get a better one, don't like the cheap keys).

- Monitoring
Alesis M1 Active MKII nearfield speakers, AKG studio headphones, and 2 ears (usually clean).

- Interfaces
Delta Audiophile 2496 and Tascam US-122 (thought it's good to have both)

- Knowledge
This forum! :-) because here I can learn so much from others (about mixing for example). Also, it's the friendliest forum I ever saw. :D
