Hi all.

I'm new to production and this site. I've downloaded a few VST's from this site but can't seem to get them into SX as a VST device.
Any tips or info would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks Igg.

mmdejonge is suggesting that are a crack user - which is a big assumption, but considering you may not be aquinted with the Getting Started manual, a common one. With any VST host you have a VST folder, where your VST plugins live. You would have chosen or accepted this when you installed SX. Just drop your .dll files into there, and SX should recognise them next time it loads.

And then, as efluon suggested - hit f11 to open the VST Devices window. In that window, select your preferred VST instrument from the drop down menu. Then, in the arrangement window, assign a midi track to output to the VST device you have selected.
Time is an illusion - lunchtime doubly so.

Sure I made an assumption, maybe I'm wrong - but

If I'd bought Cubase SX for say a whopping €750 and didn't know how to use it I would most definitely

a) read the manual or get a demo from the store where I bought it
b) get support from Steiny or cubase.net
c) google a bit, there are some nice guides out there; for example http://www.espace-cubase.org/anglais/pa ... =appcubmr2

So if I'm wrong I stand corrected - but he could have answered yeah * dude * my dongle is in it's USB slot - what next?
