Better than Hardware?

I've just been writing some new demo songs for Delta SP, and the sound I'm getting with the new Native plugins is astounding. Any opinions on whether you think the quality is coming on better than hardware setups can produce? Get the demo pack from the songs page and try it out if you're into making production quality stuff and let me know what you think. Thanks.

@delta:
I have always be very impressed with the sound from a few of the native plugins. Especially the most recent release before this one. If you managed to improve it, I am sure it's astonishing. I will try it out now.
It is a difficult question to quantify though: there is so much different hardware out there.
As close as it may get, and even it it does surpass, there will be few round these parts taht will ever admit it

had a play.
OMG! OK, Ventura 6 is, in my humble opinion, better than many, if not most, hardware synths that I have experience with. Stunning. I don't even know what to say, it is just so brilliant sounding, and so flexible, and for once the effects are SO HIGH QUALITY that I am actuallly using built in effects; I never do that. I am really really impressed. It would be super cool if you made a vsti out of that one
hint...
Well, actually don't. When people hear that one, they might buy Delta SP just for the Ventura series.
I would play it some more, but the noise fade is way to frequent for me; I will have to test it out in short bursts.
Seriously, Delta is stable enough (on my machine) now, that if I had some more cash than I do, I would be tempted. I will have to wait a while though. But it is on my Definite Purchase list now. I wasn't sure before because of stability, but now it seems quite solid.
sigh... wish i could win the lottery...
BTW: did the price go up? I thought it was less than that...

Thats what I had been hoping to hear, because as you can see it was an all out effort to make a really great sound.
They will be VSTi's and have been programmed internally already for the upgrade, but that job is scheduled for a few months time.
BTW, there is a flexible purchase option at the site if you see the shop page.

Personally, I was intrigued by the software, but the noise bursts drove me so crazy that I just gave up. I'm not saying that this isn't a silly reaction, but I'm someone who would definitely pay if I decided that I would use it.
Will a sequencer VST like ERA work in Delta sp? The internal sequencer didn't look very flexible to me. But I had to give up and actually enjoy myself with software that didn't generate noise bursts.
Again - if I can be convinced that this will be useful, I'll buy it, but damn - can't you make a demo version that isn't so annoying? Especially with software that isn't as immediately gratifying as an easy to use soft synth, it would seem that you'd want users to spend a couple of hours playing around...

Alright, I made two VSTi's as it happened they were a lot easier to make into VST's than it seemed. It was for Ventura1 and Viperous and the demos are available at the Delta SP site. You have got to get your ears close to the Viperous presets, the ones near the end. Normally I make something and it's like, oh thats similar to X... or sounds like Y... , but this time I get a whole new sound alltogether.spoonboiler wrote:had a play.

All of them will be VSTis at some stage soon BTW.

I am thinking I will hold out for Ventura 6.
I am very happy to see that you are doing this.
cheerz.
having a hard time DL'ing, but I will try these out. I love the fx and sequencer rack that is part of these synths.
Just a note to people, Don't ckik on the 'cancel' button on the 'ErrorGuard' popup, it is a fake button that takes you to the errorguard site and automatically starts the download. Just close it with the normal windows method. I don't usually get popups, but this one is f**king sneaky!

Better than hardware? That's a strange thing to say... better than a VCS3, better than a Moog C3 with all modules? I doubt it....but, better than a JenSX, better than a Virus? Yeah...probably (it's not difficult).
Sounds like you assume all h/w sounds the same
So does all s/w sound the same too?

yeah, that's kinda what I said.
But this is very very good, and certainly better than a lot of hardware.

@crimsontider:
no, this is not synthedit.
There is a plugin builder in DeltaSP, that seems a little more like reaktor than Synthedit.
But as I understand it, these are not (at least the Ventura series) made with that either; I think they are coded.
