FL Studio time signature & tempo changes

Hi.
I have D/L'd a demo of FL Studio and must say how impressed I am so far now I've got my head around how it all fits together.
Anyway, one of the main ingredients of many of my songs are time sig & tempo changes - nothing fancy, normally just 4/4 to 3/4 and then back for a M8 for example which also may include a tempo change 100 to 95bpm as well.
So, can these things be done in FL and if so how and does anyone know of any good tutorials on using FL studio a bit more than the manual. I know the FL website has tut's for registered users but I want to really test the app before I spend the money to buy it.
Cheers

Sure can be done, since you're free to make any pattern as long/short as you like (in the pattern view, top-left, a little digital counter)... so if you're going from 4/4 to 3/4 you could basically shorten the 3/4 patterns from, say 16 bars to 12 (or 8 to 6, whatever) to fit the time signature. Changes in tempo can easily be automated using automation clips.

cool, I'll have a look into this.
<edit> just done the timing thing - that was easy, didn't even think of doing this - will look at the automation clips thing for the tempo.</edit>
thx for the info

I wish that FL would implement a "insert time sig" feature ala sonar. I like to work in the playlist window of fl...

But that is not the way it should be!!!!erickhcabrera wrote:it's not impossible, just a mathematics problem...
I have requested to have time sig changes reflected in the play list, but it seems Gol has some more important things to do (and probably does

Ahhh... you have invoked the name of The Gol, or: Toby Toby Motorcycle (or something like that which he now calls himself)
My main wish is for actual reference numbers in the sliders and event editor rather than non-descript little grey bars, but that may be wish number 14,280 on the list...

the FL time sig support is lacking.. I was trying to do a song in 12/8 and then revert it to 4/4,, theres no easy way. not even sure if theres a hard way.
Also, even in situations where it does work, it doesnt reflect in the playlist, which really sucks.

You can do it in a mathematic (really complicated ) way, but the playlist will not reflect it and any tempo based effec will not work.

yup, if FL just fixed a few things about it, it would be amazing (or rather, more amazing-er). There are key things missing, like PDC, and this time sig thing, not to mention some sort of freeze.. All buzz words, sure, all "wow look at the other host" features, sure, but i would love to have them...
