that is simply the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. You can buy FLstudio producer for 149 dollars and it does much more than this can.

16 bit audio maybe acceptable to some.. however, that latency, and really the overall lack of realizing new technology makes this a useless product.

what else does it do?

link?

Damn, I thought you were going to say it costs something like $30, in which case I *might* consider it, if it was really good. For $130 or $150, there isn't a chance in hell.

hehe.. famous last words.

sure I'd buy it if it had other things that I really liked. All I know about it at this point is two cons: no asio/wdm, and no low latency. These aren't necessarily show-stoppers though. What are the pros?

Ummmm... :help:

Sorry, 24ms is totally unworkable for me, 10ms or less please (in fact I can 'feel' a difference right down to 3ms).

For the love of God get EnergyXT, or Tracktion, or FL, or something else, anything else. Theres any number of good, low priced hosts that offer more.

My feeling exactly. This does not look like a project with an immense success potential -- sorry.
When I was younger I used to be in doubt. These days I'm not so sure.

I feel the same, there is nothing that cant be done elsewhere,
for a 3rd of that price and with better options !

wait, i had an idea.. if i ever saw someone who had absolutely no talent, and 150 bucks to blow, i would tell him that this software would do everything he needed; to prevent his bad music from ever surfacing.

:D
But another thought - if a developer put the time and money into doing a high-quality render and an extremely friendly UI, and did not market themselves as a "live playing" environment - ie they focused on using the piano roll/score/drum grid rather than keyboard MIDI input - they might find a buyer.

But still, that's a stretch at $129 or so, and they're knocking out a good chunk of the more-knowledgable users - people that MIGHT consider a new host when they get tired of dongle-hell, expensive upgrades, discontinued products, or whatever would cause someone to look for a new host.

Build complex structures with low level modules like in sync modular IE: new filters, osc's and much more. then export to a VST or VSTi.

Still sounds like a rotten deal huh? Nope
I'm sure he will repair the audio drivers soon, ASIO or not.

I may try this host only as beta-trial-free-demo version, if that suites the developer. I will never pay a single penny for this :), My precious time is costlier.. :o

damn, i need to know what host is this...curiousity is killing me...

people always say "it's not the software, it's what you do with it", which is 100% percent true statement. but another true statement is 'not to conform with mediocracy' and 'always shoot for the best'. not to mean that one needs to get the latest, most advanced, 1024bit version of Samplitude XXX to make the lushest composition. it's more like getting an average grade in school and saying, 'ah f**k, that's good enough' when you know you could do better. maybe you could've studied an extra hour to get a slightly higher grade...am i making sense?

So why would i spend $129/$149 for a 'mediocre' host to today's standards, when there's like 10 others for the same price and even cheaper that can perform more acceptably? even Buzz accepts ASIO! so there's has to be a really good explanation as to why the developer of this software neglects adding something that's not a luxury but a standard. and you can't have virtual plugins, VST DXi or whatever, without low latency. it's like having a sunroof without being able to open it...that's a used, f**ked up car from the 50's, not a brand new car!!!!

Post

He he ! ;)

Synthedit is far more advanced, has hundreds of modules and ASIO.

$25

Syntmaker not yet there but very promissing !

$48 early adopters
$99 later

Both can save as VST/VSTi,
and both have ASIO.

But still that part of the host has a great potential,
only the developer needs to get his ideas straight and get to know his market place and customers. ;)
