T2 Soundblaster woes

I'm using SBLive with the live drive front panel I/O device and KX drivers with Tracktion.
Noise, not an issue. Use KX project's recommendation of swapping front/rear outs as the rear outs use a lower noise gain stage than the fronts.
Figuring out which ASIO ports match up with which actual physical I/O ports has been a bugger but I've had it working for about 8 months now thanks to people here and at driverheaven.net.
I've got mine so I just use the rca line in ports on teh Live drive only for inputs - everything else is turned off, including all the EAX effects.
It does fine. Last month, I got 19th place out of 64 entries in the KVRaudio song contest. Not a single negative comment said anything about the song being noisy or recorded on crap equipment.
Now, if I had just done a better job with the composition and if my mixing skills were up to snuff, then I perhaps could have done better. But my wimpy little win98SE machine with 256 MB ram and the SBLive suits me just fine for now - until I get about $1000 to buy an upgraded desktop and i/o device.
You can have a listen to my stuff that I've done with an SBLive and Tracktion at www.soundclick.com/scottlake
Ron, point out where my having a better soundcard would have made for better song / sound quality.

You'd do well to replace the Behringer gear before you start dissing others' setups, Ron.

but sometimes it all doesn't go well, that's when the ronker needs:

In ron's defence, he did admit having issues and is taking a class (and medication?) I believe.
