Has anyone installed this update for Mac? ST2 ver. 2.0.8 is working flawlessly for me in Logic 7.0.1 (Panther 10.3.9) and I'm really hesitant to take a chance.

This small update, being an incremental update, most likely means that the promised 'big update' has been pushed forward several months.
Lets hope not because it will probable also delay the Miroslav release as well...

I doubt it. They're probably fixes that are going into 2.1, but are also compatible with the 2.0 codebase.nexussynth wrote:This small update, being an incremental update, most likely means that the promised 'big update' has been pushed forward several months.
Again, I doubt it. The main factor in preparing Miroslav is the sound programming. Sonic Reality are busy preparing the sample content for Miroslav, and that's the main work. The engine is already ready.nexussynth wrote:Lets hope not because it will probable also delay the Miroslav release as well...
Forever,

Is this update also available for Sonic Synth (since its the same engine)? - I just installed SS2 this morning and went to the user area at IK to see if there was an upgrade but it says "no downloads available" next to Sonic Synth. Registration etc all went through and it runs fine but I thought I should update asap if it needs one.

An SS2 software update will come. I don't know when but it will always benefit from advances in the ST2 engine.aMUSEd wrote:Is this update also available for Sonic Synth (since its the same engine)? - I just installed SS2 this morning and went to the user area at IK to see if there was an upgrade but it says "no downloads available" next to Sonic Synth. Miroslav isn't delayed because because this is time we're using on the sounds. It's not that far away actually. Definitely less than what you are predicting there. Maybe not May but not that much longer than that.
ST2.1 is taking a little longer but just a little bit because IK is implementing some more requested features that haven't even been announced yet. I don't want to say what they are yet in case they don't end up making it in this rev. But, when I see it in there I will jump up and down about it and tell everyone here the good news okay? Some cool midi control stuff and sync things (in addition to the new 3 engines which are great!)

Will it have mouse wheel scrolling? It really could do with an easier way to browse presets.

Again, ST2 is a plug-in. There's also a host. What if the host already has a function attached to mouse wheel scrolling by default? That would make a conflict between the plug-in and the host.

nu uh! the scrolling would only effect the active window, be it the VST or the host. So....Scrolling it is! Thank you Squids, I'll make the announcement later today.Squids wrote:Again, ST2 is a plug-in. There's also a host. How many people you think would be confused by that? Scrolling and it changing their host or their plug-in.riley4reason wrote:nu uh! the scrolling would only effect the active window, be it the VST or the host. So....Scrolling it is!
