I'm sure this is going to turn out to be something really silly but I've just tried opening some soft synths in an old project & I was unable to play them from either my MIDI keyboard or the soft synths keyboard! In the old project that had a couple of ImpOSCar's in it the MIDI parts I previously recorded play fine (apart from the annoying glitch everytime the track loops round) but I can't actually play them. I started a new project - Same thing. All my MIDI inputs are enabled in Tracktion's settings & they do work fine with other software.

Any ideas?

Try enabling "end to end" in the transport and with each input device. If end to end isnt enabled you wont be able to preview play your instruments.

I knew it would be something simple. I disabled 'end to end' yesterday after reading something in another thread to the effect that doing so saved on CPU usage.

No Prob. Also if your CPU overloads, end to end is automatically dissabled. So remember to turn it back on.

I had the same problem when I first opened a project in T2, but my e-to-e was enabled. I went back and restarted and had to re-enable my MIDI inputs. It was probably my fault since I did alot of tinkering.
