don't use it myself, but i was round Glassback's house a little while ago and from what i saw of it it looks really good. obviously it's not gonna tear me away from my beloved T2 but it's certainly a great host and i'd not bash it for a second.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

I hereby declare WaspXT is the worst sounding synth I've ever come across...
(let's see if that makes Bones appear

Its a little flaky with a few plugins.. a year ago I could use Blockfish fine in Oplat, now when trying to load the plugin it will crash Oplat. Some people complained that Tassman4 wasnt loading for them, while others said it loads fine.
outside of that I think its a beautiful host.. at least thats my personal opinion
I find its really easy to get started making music/noise.. and while I dont consider it perfect, it feels right as a host for me.
Havent seen an update to Oplat in awhile now.. Rich must be cooking up something good in synapseland.. I know PDC was on the list but dunno what else. PDC + collapseable channels and (along with letting me use blockfish) I'd probably never ask for another update.
horses for courses!

For me Orion is the only host where i get things done. There are hosts which make more fun to doodle around, but Orion makes me actually finish a song. Thats a big plus , for me.
And it prevents me from buying a lot of VST , as the included Generators are so versatile.

I saw a comment Bones made recently about some optimisations in the beta version which result in considerably reduced CPU usage - hopefully this update will also apply to the Pro version as wellVitaminD wrote:Havent seen an update to Oplat in awhile now.. i really missed not being able to see everything on one big track. i also really dislike its audio-handling and found it very buggy before i eventually gave up - maybe it's just me.
the mixer is extremely ugly.
other than that i really liked it. although i also have fl studio & sonar 4, orion is still my favourite app for handling midi editing and automation. unfortunately that doesn't mean i still use it !
sonar is a true all-rounder so i have ditched orion in favour of the one-app-does-just-about-everything sonar solution.
