Pretty cheap and the mp3-demo sounds very promising.

isn't very suitable to judge about it. Only make-up-gain is adjustable; all other parameters are fixed

Don't all compressors have an envelope follower? Notice how they all have attack and release parameters.

Not all offer you different envelope response types, though.

Yeah, but as you can hear in the mp3-demo: This thingie can make more or less sustain. Don't know a native comp can do this. Similar to the sustain of the spl transient designer or not?
