hi all 8)

I have noticed that there are lots of free host in the quick host links

I need something powerful but friendly at he same time (its for my girlfriend  )

wich is the best one that you have tried?

Post

What do you need? The free hosts in the list are mostly simple VSTi hosts without (extensive) sequencing features.

And does it have to be 100% free? Or could you afford 39euro?

Krystal Audio engine is nice, (if you don't need midi), it can host vst effects .
Nobody's a nobody...

Hi. I don't think there are any good free sequencer hosts out there.

I'd recommend you download the Tracktion2 demo for your gf. Its pretty easy to get started with. Not that cheap, but maybe you can get ahold of a used copy?

Energyxt is only 39 euro and is certainly very good, but (the following may be considered sexist) I don't see it as a very woman-friendly program - its not very intuitive... Then again I may be wrong, download the demo for her to try :)

declassified, i think is better something free for now
in order to begin she need first of all to comprise the process of sequencing
.. and then all the rest

yeah! Krystal seems to be nice, but no midi .. hummm

ooh which! .. not wich, yes, sorry

thanks for replies!

This is a sequencer for girls: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/218.html

Kidding :hihi:

Get a copy of Computer Music and try Computer Muzys (still included in the cover CD, no?); it's a cut down version of the defunct Muzys, but can still give some clues about what midi is about. Krystal is audio only. AFAIK there's nothing else for free we could recommend to a begginer.
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

 :hihi:

thanks Ja.x surely I'll grab a copy of CM 4 Muzys

someone tried Rosegarder (under Linux platform) ?

Post

is there a freeware version of delta sp anymore? Might wnat to give that a spin,
Cmuzys is kinda neat, used it for a little while and really enjoyed the layout and workflow, had some sound glitch problems that I never could resolve though,I don't think it liked my mobo. i thnk the currnet cm has a big ass rompler included as well...I'm tempted

There should still be the previous version of Delta SP for free. No ASIO support, though, I don't think. I'm not a big fan of Computer Muzys.

Huh,.. I sort of imagine the feminine psyche (at least from a cliched, idealised, post-modern, artschool-academic viewpoint) as, less linear, more sensitive to the interconnectedness of things. You know, like EnergyXT.

I vote for EnergyXT.

And women.

Oh, yah, thanks tetraplan, I meant AudioMulch.

I just wanted to take a non-linear approach to saying that.

Hey, now we're interconnected!

Man, I wanna be a woman.
Or, wait, no, I just wanna be Ross Bencina's bitch.
