Why would anyone be so f**king insecure about the music they don't like to even think others might care about their opinion.
Like gangsta rap?(though I share yer opinion of it)

SOAD are a bunch of LA cokeheads. One of my friends grew up with a couple of them in the valley, and has witnessed their simultaneous upward success and their personal downward spirals. They are messy pieces of shit as human beings, but good musicians nonetheless. It doesn't suprise me one bit that they did this. They were probably tore up like paper in a shredder.

Post

I went and listened to their new shit, and I must say, it really does suck. Oh well, I usually only like 2 or 3 albums from any given artist, so it's hardly a surprise.

I'm not an SOAD fan, I do like a couple of songs but their SNL bit sucked ass (at least the first number). It sounded like it was coming straight off the PA, dry.

The abundance of profanity in the set, to me, seemed like nothing more than the corporate marketing team trying to appeal to teen angst.

i dont think it was SOAD's dicision to let a few curses go by. SNL is on digital delay, and they are always very careful now in the censoring (especially when a band like SOAD is on) as they have gotten in trouble for it in the past. This has to just be another jenet jackson fiasco again.

Post

"hey these guys have a look that will sell records." Well...I mean it couldn't have been their sound that got them signed . Now I'm also just wondering why I blew off a party to chill at home tonight, ugh...mistake that was.
Odd, last time I checked, I bought cd's for what they sound like, not what the artists look like.

As far as the sound, a bit loose, very "live"? that is generally what a band sounds like that isnt relying on autotune, backing tracks, or other fake shit. Sadly a dying breed in pop music.

Lastly, the whole bleeping of expletives things is tired. The show is on late, its a common word, get over it, move on. Beeping it out is almost as lame as purposefully trying to get around said bleep (which SOAD is guilty of in this case).

And who called this band nu-metal? Smack yourself with a clue by four, please.
