Has anyone tried the new Camel releases yet?

You want the bundle... :-)
Seriously, try the demos and see whether they'll work with the kind of music you make. I think they're the bee's knees, but I'm biased.

Hi Rabid,
I've tried them
Seriously though, there's some comments on this thread in the Camel Audio forum:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1&start=52
And this one in the effects forum:

I too am always interested to hear comments on the plugins. If you're interested in CamelSpace, you should try downloading the demo and checking out some MP3s

Thanks

I bought the bundle, but CamelSpace is the plugin I really wanted out of the two... surely I will use Camelphat3 (especially for the magic Eq on kicks), but I spent more time messing around with the Camelspace demo and was having too much fun to not buy it..
I find CamelSpace to be a great sound designing/ sound mangling tool. It is very inspiring and produces really interesting results. I suggest trying out the demo.. start by checking out some of the presets.. but beware, once you try it you will most likely want to buy it..

I'm just curious as to what CamelSpace will do for me that Spectron and SpinAudio's FX Designer won't. Guess I won't know until I try huh?

Sorry, but I have never used the other plugins you mention...
Here's a quick demo of these plugins in action. Dry version and wet version. I did this in 5 minutes. Nothing extraordinary

Yeah I recommend trying the demo version, always the best way to try a plugin.Joseph Burrell wrote:I'm just curious as to what CamelSpace will do for me that Spectron and SpinAudio's FX Designer won't. Guess I won't know until I try huh?
Off the top of my head one of the main features that CamelSpace has that the others you mention there don't have, is the 128-step step sequencer/trance gate, routable to filter, volume and pan. You can get some incredible effects from this

I'm certainly happy to hear that you like CamelSpace.flametop wrote:Just bought CamelSpace last night and am well impressed. Passed on Camelphat as I have a lot of other filter/dist/eq stylee plugins.
I just wanted to mention that CamelPhat3 is more than distortion and filtering. You can also do some very interesting rhythmic effects with this plugin, thanks to the pair of synchable LFOs. The LFOs have 7 different waveforms, and they can be routed to 23 different destinations. The multimode filter alone has ten different modes. There's also flanging and ring modulation effects. There's a lot of variety and flexibility here.
If none of that is useful in your music, that's fine, but I just wanted other people reading this thread to know that CamelPhat is much more than your average distortion or filter plugin.
take care,
McLilith

I agree, CamelPhat3 is a huge improvement on CamelPhat2 (which was also a very nice plugin 1 year ago). I bought it blind, without trying the demo version first, as an upgrade.
CamelSpace looks very sexy and usable as well, but I'll have to ask my boss for a raise to buy that as well
Anyway, I remember a thread of a few months back where someone asked for an upgrade of CamelPhat, and Ben/Jim replied what kind of things should be added. There weren't many suggestions then, but I think you really did a good job of extending the concept and creating a strong upgrade

I find CamelSpace to be mind-blowing and absolutely addictive. Since getting it, I'm trying like mad to NOT put it/try it on every clip and track. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. Great work, Camel!

Just trying out the demo of CamelSpace ... great stuff! I can get all kinds of weird wave-sequenced style riffs on simple pads and stuff. Great for texture, and fun to tweak!
Love the GUI, too ... top notch stuff.
