Just wondered if anybody had any info/uses this etc.
good, bad?
I'm looking for an audio editor which supports vst's (without a wrapper) & allows one to use them in realtime, I believe that essntials has that functionality.
Don't need anything too fancy, if it burns cd's etc. as well that's cool.
It's based on wavelab 4 code I believe, which I have seen in action & rated quite highly.
At around £50 this looked like it would meet my needs, so anygood?, too limited?
Anybody any info on wavelab essential?

I own Wavelab Essential and use it every day. It's extremely useful and the features that it lacks from the full Wavelab are not features that I've missed at all.
The one downside is that Steinberg seems to have completely forgotten about the product. It hasn't had an update since release, that I can find, not even a patch. Is this typical for Steinberg?

yeah, they have a history of releasing shit & then forgetting about it when the next shiny bauble gets released.
As long as it works ok, it's the basic wav editing features & vst support i'm looking for really.
wavelab 5 costs an arm & a leg, & has a host of features i'd never use.
