Hi,

I just saw the new issue of FutureMusic (162) and there are two Focusrite plugins on the cover CD, an EQ and a Compressor. Apparently they are 'full' versions in the sense of being able to use them with no noise/timeouts/etc but you can't modify the presets - of which there are 8 for each plug.

Anyone tried them out? Any good? Just wondering if they're worth a fiver?

Theyr'e probably the same plugs included with their new FW interface called "Saffire",unless they're releasing them seperatley.

Yep, that's the ones (from Saffire). Not sure if they're being made available seperately though! Just wondered if they sounded good? :)

Anyone using 'em? Reason I ask is that there is not much else I want in/on the mag this month, so, unless the Focusrite plugs are summat special, then I think I'll use the fiver elsewhere.

Anybody try these yet? Last time I looked near me (US), issue 161 was still on the shelves in the bookstores.

I'm hoping these plugins are good. On the focusrite saffire webpage they seem to imply that the full version of these plugins that come with saffire sound as good as the forte suite for TDM.

rofl.. everyone is waiting for other people to try them first... such high confidence in focusrite plugins :hihi:

I've got them and have just deleted them off.

You CANNOT Adjust the frequencies!!!

If you try and change the knob value you get redirected to their website

It said that in the magazine  Which is why I asked about them - you see if the sound quality was high and the presets usable - well as usable as possible considering they're fixed - (or if they somehow managed to leave VST automation intact?!) then I'd have got them :)
