I don't mean any disrespect to the dev of this product, but I just gave it a spin and it doesn't sound like it's really doing much to me. I just want a plug in that gives me a bit of tape sound, small traces of wow and flutter, etc. Am I wrong, have I just not messed around with it enough? And while on the subject, does anyone know of any free plugs that give a tape sound? Not particularly a tape delay, but something like tapebus tries to do? Maybe i'll give it a spin some more and see if it is just me.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Tapebus is not going for wow and flutter - these are the sorts of things that a high end two track machine is designed to eliminate as far as possible. If you dubbed your digital mix onto a Studer 2 track machine you would get a different sound and Tapebus is a stab at giving you that sort of colouration in a plugin.J_Starner wrote:I don't mean any disrespect to the dev of this product, but I just gave it a spin and it doesn't sound like it's really doing much to me. Tapebus uses impulse responses from several different tape machines and attempts to replicate the phase response etc of these machines. The different tape options each correspond to a different source impulse.

It has a tape section with hiss and so forth...didn`t really get into it yet...but might suit your needs.

Thanks for the help everyone, and to the moderators, I think I put this thread in Instruments first. I was up too late last night so sorry if I did! Thanks everyone for the help, I really needed something that does this, I am working on some stuff.

Could someone help me out with a link so I can download the P1 Tape delay? I searched up on yahoo but I can't seem to find a d/l site, just reviews of it and all. Anybody have a link? Thanks.

Oh yea, I have TBT's EXCELLENT plug ins, and I mean EXCELLENT. I forgot the name of it, but the one just released, sort of like a mix saturator or something, it does wonders for bass.
