Just checking out the industrial listings on Soundclick.com and look who I found at number 12....our very own Origami. Check it out here.
Way to go Origami -- it's a good track too!

It isn't very hard to get high on soundclick. I'm high right now, I'm addicted to the high I get off of it. Seriously though, its not that hard, unless there are a lot of people in that category, you just need a few people to listen to your song besides yourself, and a few hot ratings. I don't really know about the Industrial charts but like, IDM, the NUM 1 song there sucks. Somebody should take it down!
P.S. Im not trying to take away any glory, because I don't know much about the industrial part of soundlclcik, or origami, I'm just bringing to light how shitty their charts are.

1) I don't know about the IDM charts, but the Industrial charts have hundreds or artists, including some "pros" like Celldweller (whose track at #4 in the chart has been on some movie soundtracks).funkadil wrote:It isn't very hard to get high on soundclick. unless there are a lot of people in that category, you just need a few people to listen to your song besides yourself, and a few hot ratings. 2) To the best of my knowledge, Origami has not promoted his track excessively (if at all). He has links in his signature, and has the occasional "check out these tracks and tell me what I'm doing wrong" post...but no real promotion (especially compared to what some do -- posting promotions over several boards).

I don't know that much about their charts...but I think they are an improvement over the old MP3.com charts. It appears that on the soundclick charts each artist can have only one entry, whereas on the mp3 charts on artist would have 5 of the top 30 tracks.

Oops....I didn't expect this thread...I don't give much importance myself to that, actually (actually, a song of mine was at number 6 a couple of months ago...)
But what makes me happier is to read these posts. I am very very far from professional sounding, THAT I know, I've got a lot to learn. But the real reason why I put my songs in soundclick is just so that people listen to my music. Nothing else. That's achieved, so thank you, sincerely!

yeah, that's why it sounds so stereo, because I've got a tape recorder in each nostril. Or so I've been told.so that's how you recorded those vocals???
What I've liked the most about the original post is 'our own origami'. It makes me feel like a pet...
