Erm...

Seriously, though, I believe the Buzzroom effects have muff-like stompbox emulators.

I don't really know what it is, but there is this one called cortex that makes some really nice fat warm distortion. Doesn't have a gui though.

Want me to wipe your bottom for you while I'm at it? ;)

Buz and OctBuz. They're more like Fuzz Face than Big Muff, but it's still fuzz-type distortion. There. Now your bottom is nice and wiped. :D

The Pumpkins used the early 1990's Russian green box reissue. I had one I sold a while ago. My PodXT pretty much cloned it good enough for my needs. Fuzz is pretty hard to get sounding right - the combination of guitar and amp circuitry is fairly critical. From a VST point of view, a simple distortion effect should get about as close as you can expect.

If you want the "Drown" type guitars, you're gonna need more than fuzz. But I bet you already knew that, and no I'm not being sarcastic-- I'm actually giving you some credit. ;)

Amazingly, entering "Big Muff" into Google's image search only produced 1 nude picture on the first page of hits!!

 :o
